Funboards

These widebody boards that have a rather short shape are real plaining wonders as they dispose of a whole lot of volume. This is what makes this kind of family funboard so forgiving, and this is why it is that much suitable for advanced surfer that are looking for a lightwind board. But especially beginners are able to learn windsurfing quickly and free of frustration with wide funboards with 180 litres, 210 litres, 240 litres or even more volume. Due to the high volume, a funboard starts planing very early and even with little wind. That way, it keeps what its name promises: The windsurf funboard just brings the fun to windsurfing and is the ideal choice for families, beginners and hobby surfers.

Freeride boards

Advanced windsurfers that are looking for a windsurf board with a huge range of use find the perfect board in a freeride model: It is suitable for flat water but also for a little chop and up to small waves. With a nose that is a little less wide than a funboard, freeride windsurfboards such as the Goya Carrera, the Naish Titan or the Bic Techno are more agile but are still pretty good to control in medium wind conditions and small waves. With a volume between 120 and 160 liters, a funboard is the ideal choice for windsurfers who mainly frequent spots with flat water and who want to get along with one board only.

Freestyle boards

Freestyle surfing, tricks, manoeuvers, jumps and radical turns - This is what freestyle surfboards are made for. The narrow shapes make these boards very agile and easy to handle. Their volume range is from 80 to 110 liters round about.

Formula Boards

This Board class is used in professional race conditions. The extreme width of formula windsurfboards with huge volumina allow high-end speed even in luff directions. In most formula races, the board specifications are standardized to grant identical chances to every participant.

Freemove Boards

The best of two worlds: Windsurfers who cannot decide if they rather need a freeride or a wave board and who are looking for a windsurfboard that is suitable for both purposes should go for a freemove board which has a volume between 90 and 120 liters roundabout. These boards are the perfect match for flat water spots with high wind and medium wave. Given the fact that the volume is reduced compared to a pure freeride board, the freemove shape is rather used by advanced surfers as depending on the rider\s weight, it can be a sinker already.

Wave boards

These are the less voluminous surfboard shapes on the market: With only 60 to 100 liters and thin shapes, this board type is a pure wave board. Even in breakwater and very high waves, the board is easy to control and stands out with its radicalness. Also, the board type is characterized by its heavy rocker. In all, we are talking about a board that is reserved to advanced windsurfers.
